The air bellow connects the Airbox to the frame! The engine airbox is classed as the secondary airbox, and the frame acts as the main airbox. Before fitting the bellows, we would recommend warming the rubber up, to make it easier to fit!
The earlier model bellow was slightly different, so when fitting a brand new one, we would recommend going for the correct one.
