Unveiled at the 2025 Vespa Word Days. the Primavera and GTV ‘Officina 8’ special editions are proving to be one of the most in-demand models we’ve seen for some time.
Undoubtedly, the stunning satin blue and bronze colour-way is part of the Officina 8’s attraction, but we also think that the story behind the scheme is one that resonates with enthusiasts. We’ve covered the story behind the scheme in a previous blog post, but in short Officina 8 was the name given to the group of engineers, designers, artisans and test riders who created the early Vespa models. It’s the blue overalls and bronze pin that were worn by this select group which inspired the edition’s scheme, and that tribute has been extended to a range of merchandise produced especially for the Officina 8 project.

Practically perfect
If we’re being completely honest, some of the merchandise produced recently by Piaggio to celebrate other special editions has looked more at home on the catwalk than in a cafe. However, in keeping with paying homage to those who created the machines we all know and love, the Officina 8 range is decidedly wearable. In fact, they’d look good on a night out or ride out. Starting with everyone’s favourites there are T shirts, hoodies, gloves and wind-cheaters.
One item that’s flying out of our showroom is the Officina 8 drawstring bag, and for those who don’t want feel left out but are on a tight budget there’s even a keyring.
Finally, so far as clothing is concerned, the legendary Vespa jet helmet has received an Officina 8 makeover; the blue and bronze scheme complimenting any Vespa, whatever its age.
